Project Description

ELOQUENT was a research project that belongs to the EEC program LINGUA. The major project objective was the development of parameters as well as the accomplishment of an educational system based on the principles of multimedia.

The project mainly focused on the areas listed below:

• The production of a report about how the modern methodology of teaching foreign languages can be applied using multimedia technology.
• The development of a certain multimedia application for teaching seven European languages upon an ACRON (Archimedes) platform. The application should be transferred to a PC platform as well.
• The production of a manual in seven languages about the methodology of development of an educational multimedia system. This production aims at teaching these seven European languages.
• The production of an Optical Disk which will include all the above listed products.
